It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Social Sciences Department at Bunyore Teachers Training College. As the Head of Department, I am proud to lead a vibrant and committed team of tutors who are passionate about shaping future educators in the fields of History, Geography, Religious Education, and Civic Education. Social Sciences play a crucial role in helping learners understand the world around them — past and present — and in nurturing responsible, informed, and active citizens. Our department is dedicated to preparing trainee teachers who are not only knowledgeable in content but also skilled in pedagogy, aligned with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and national education goals.Here, we emphasize critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and the application of social knowledge to real-life contexts.
